This 1984 XE Falcon came into our mechanic workshop requiring a custom exhaust system capable of supporting its powerplant: a 351 Cleveland V8 stroked out to a 393.

To manage the exhaust volume from the stroked engine, we fabricated tuned-length 4-into-1 extractors featuring 44.5 mm primaries. This feeds into a custom twin 63.5 mm system that merges into a single 76.2 mm tailpipe section.

Nearly the entire system was fabricated in-house using 304-grade stainless steel. Only the extractors were bought as a bolt on item. Every joint was TIG welded, and we back-purged the tubes with argon gas during the welding process. Purging the tubes prevents internal oxidation, ensuring a smooth internal weld bead for unrestricted gas flow and maximum structural integrity.

The system is finished with a glass-packed Flowmaster muffler. The final product is a precision-welded, high-flow exhaust system built specifically for the engine's displacement.
